Kali Gandaki... Bhote Kosi... Balephi Khola... and MORE!

hey hey just checking in real quick. we've just gotten back into Pokhara after a five day trip on to some glamorous rivers in Nepal. so naturally that means a day of copious internet... breakfast cocktails... and general lounging by the lake and feeding. in an effort not to bore you with the boof-by-boof details, here are a few snippets of our trips, enjoy!

Ali and Christie on the way to Balephi Khola... haha we seem to travel almost exclusively by bus roof.
super-safe! definitely Class V, hahah

Cameras are always a novelty for the kiddos. Usually the conversation goes like this...
"Namaste! I really really like your camera! You give it to me?" hahahaha... urrrr

Packin' 'er up, packin' 'er in

Scouting on the Bhote Kosi, one of my favorite rivers yet. You have to eddy out just to catch your breath. Here we are at one of the biggun's. Probably our stoutest run yet, round 2 for meeee!

Photo shoot after the one-day trek into the Modi Khola... here's Christie and I, but look out for our new young British friends on soyathinkyourehot hahahaha

early start the next day walking into the river... note the massive Himalayas and our porters in the foreground trudging for the put-in. love it.

THE BUSES ARE OUT OF CONTROL!!!!

one of the best parts of nepal... the FOOD. oh my god, they make some really amazing things here. "dalbhat" is the kayaker favorite... keeps the tummy-machine pacified all day long! enough food for you and your tape-worm.

Nepal is just so much flippin' fun!

Sun Kosi... a few rapids above camp with some pretty incredible people

OK there's a tidbit more... looks like there were some fun times on the 'Po this Halloween! we were actually on the river for Halloween... the sacred Kali Gandaki river, where we pulled over at the favorite cremation site to tromp on some human remains to get our spook on.

alright---enough from my end---hope you all are having fun adventures back east! much love from nepal :)
